chikamagalur silver oak ride
Malini joined me for an adventure to chikmagalur . a small developing town on the foot hills of the western ghat in Karnataka. we drove the 250 odd kms in our GT polo my first long drive on the hatch.
Google maps did a great job taking us to the coffee estate resort. a wild place indeed. it started raining since we were in the peak of monsoon. green was the word all around. the GT could not climb the slush road and had to be parked down hill. the place was tidy and the food was homemade delicacies. the place was surrounded with coffee plants and tall silver oaks showing their might swishing in the wind and rain as tall warriors of the hills.

was fun having all the dishes. it seems each of the dishes served need to be placed at the right location on the banana leaf at a specified distance. the kick off is also planned and what you chose and how you progress determines the flavours you will enjoy. its vegetarian in some parts and other have a treat of everything that moves on this earth and all that is offered in the kallu shops.

back from a memorable trip. meeting relatives i met when we were too young to blog. great sprint tasting single malts. enjoying the daughters company and winding our 25th anniversary in 0% humid bengaluru.
this place seems to attract me to shift locations. malini had fun and so did we.
